The Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) and the Association of Business Executives (ABE) sign a ground breaking partnership!

The Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) and the Association of Business Executives (ABE) have signed a ground breaking partnership to mutually recognise each other’s awards. This will enable students at both awarding bodies to gain dual qualifications which will significantly enhance their career prospects.

Association of Business Executives (ABE)

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is a professional membership body and examination body accredited by Ofqual in the UK as well as equivalent bodies elsewhere. Its qualifications are all on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). ABE’s core objective is to provide affordable high quality business qualifications worldwide.

The organisation was founded in 1973 by a group of senior academics, politicians and business people who were concerned about the lack of training in general management comparable to the training for their profession provided by other professional bodies. Now more than 50,000 students study for ABE business qualifications worldwide every year.

All ABE qualifications are offered at Diploma (Level 4), Higher Diploma (Level 5), and Graduate / Graduate Integrated / Extended Diploma (Level 6). ABE also offers a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) in Business Management. Its qualifications are taught by a global network of accredited colleges.

Students study for ABE qualifications to improve their career prospects or to go to university. More than 80 universities worldwide accept ABE qualifications for entry onto the appropriate stages of their Bachelor degree, Masters degree and MBA programmes.

Working together

CTH and ABE have entered into a collaborative partnership to provide enhanced services for their members and support their career development

The collaboration is formed with the view of achieving the following:

More flexible qualifications
  • Current students of ABE's qualifications in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management will receive exemptions from CTH's portfolio of qualifications, enabling these students to gain a well-recognised award by CTH;
  • CTH graduates will be able to gain exemptions from ABE's business, marketing and HR management qualifications, meaning that CTH graduates will be able to gain a well-recognised business qualification with ABE;
