New Progression Pathways for CTH Students: BPP University

CTH is delighted to now offer CTH graduates the opportunity to convert their CTH qualification to a Master's degree at BPP University College.

CTH graduates will be able to complete the qualification at BPP University College's learning centres in Manchester or London as a full-time programme, or online via BPP's online study portal.

The first full time student cohort is scheduled in September 2012 with further intake in January 2013, and the first online student cohort is scheduled in January 2013. BPP University College BPP University College of Professional Studies is one of the UK's leading private University Colleges dedicated to business and the professions and in 2010 became the winner of the prestigious Education Investor award "Post 16 education provider of the year". BPP University College is a separate legal entity and division within the wider BPP Professional Education group. BPP University College has its own separate governance and regulatory structure reflecting the national importance of BPP University College as a degree awarding body approved by the UK’s Privy Council. BPP University College has its origins in BPP Law School, which was established in 1992 and soon became one of the leading postgraduate Law Schools in the UK. In 2005 BPP Law School established what is now known as BPP University College of Professional Studies combining BPP's unique history since 1976 of training accountancy and finance specialists throughout Europe with the establishment of BPP Business School under the central regulatory umbrella of BPP University College. In 2011 BPP University College established BPP School of Health and in 2012, BPP School of Foundation and English Language Studies. BPP University College comprises BPP Business School, BPP Law School, BPP School of Health and the BPP School of Foundation and English Language Studies. Students will be able to complete their studies at their home countries, via BPP's online study portal, or at one of BPP University College's learning centres. Great news!"
The arrangement covers the following qualifications: CTH's Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management CTH's Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management graduates can enter at BPP's MSc in Management with Tourism with 90 Credits Accredited Prior Learning, meaning students are only require to complete the following modules via BPP's online study platform to gain the Master's degree qualification:
  • Competitive Intelligence - 15 Credits
  • International Marketing Management - 15 Credits
  • Consultancy Project or Work Placement - 30 Credits
  • Managing Tourism & Hospitality Projects - 15 Credits
  • Strategic Planning for Tourism & Hospitality - 15 Credits
Throughout the programme, students will also have the opportunity to complete various short courses in Cultural awareness, professional development and communication and negotiation skills and achieve accredited awards. CTH's Level 6 Pro-Graduate Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management CTH's Level 6 Pro-Graduate Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management graduates are eligible for direct entry to MSc Management with Tourism & Hospitality award. The modules in the full MSc qualification are categorised in to three sections as follows: Postgraduate Certificate Level

  • Leadership & Change Management - 15 Credits
  • Markets & Marketing - 15 Credits
  • Knowledge Management & Information System Strategy - 15 Credits
Postgraduate Diploma Level
  • Accounting & decision making - 15 Credits
  • Enterprise Risk Management - 15 Credits
  • Operations Management & Services Excellence - 15 Credits
  • International Marketing Management - 15 Credits
Master's Level
