Sheffield Hallam University top up qualification available to CTH students via RDI.

Sheffield Hallam University is one of the UK's most progressive and innovative universities. They are a leader in the provision of hospitality and tourism research and education and has been awarded centre of excellence status for their expertise and engagement in e-learning, learner autonomy and employer engagement. Their graduates do well in finding jobs with 89 per cent in work or further study within six months of completing their course.

CTH graduates who have passed the Advanced Diploma in Hotel or Tourism Management can apply to study the final year of the BSc. (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management Distance Learning top up degree awarded by Sheffield Hallam University and offered through RDI.

CTH is now Ofqual regulated

We are very pleased to announce that CTH is now approved by the Office of the Qualification and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). For those who are not aware, Ofqual was created in April 2008 and originated from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). They are now the official new regulator of qualifications, exams and tests in England. Their work ensures that students get the results they deserve and that the qualifications they receive are relevant now and for the future.

Ofqual's approval endorses our commitment to delivering valuable qualifications for the hospitality, tourism and travel industries. Global Marketing Network, the marketing association for the marketing leaders of today and tomorrow has entered into an alliance with CTH. This innovative partnership will provide a wide number of benefits for members of both associations and ensures that CTH becomes de facto Global Marketing Network's special interest group worldwide for the travel, tourism and hospitality sector whilst Global Marketing Network becomes CTH's exclusive marketing association partner. Latest CTH university pathway - University of Central Lancaster

CTH is pleased to announce that we are in final stages of securing our latest university articulation agreement. The University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) has been rated 4th for Tourism and Hospitality by The Guardian and the Guardian League table for Business and Management Studies. They placed the faculty as the highest modern university business school in England and Wales. UCLAN will be pleased to review applications from CTH graduates and is currently working towards an articulation agreement.

UCLAN will be joining our list of high quality universities which CTH has articulation agreements with: Bournemouth, Thames Valley, Middlesex (Dubai), University College Birmingham, Sunderland, London South Bank, Edith Cowan, Northampton, Salford, Heriot Watt, The Hotel School Sydney and Glion and Les Roches Hospitality Management School. New Criteria for UK Study Visa

Overseas students hoping to come to the United Kingdom to study will have to meet strict new criteria, the British Government has recently announced.

The Home Office has published proposals for much tighter rules for foreign students - and the universities and colleges hosting them - under the student tier of its new Points Based System. Click here for full details.
