"Having
worked in key deluxe properties/hospitality
companies around the world the last few years
(including The Waldorf Astoria in New York City,
Claridge's in London and Regent Seven Seas Cruises)
I have come across several CTH graduates, who
have all been of very high calibre. Furthermore,
my experience as a Lecturer in Oxford House
College, London (where CTH Diploma and Advanced
Diploma modules are being taught) confirmed
my opinion that CTH offers high quality education
that enhances the graduates' chances of gaining
a successful career in the international hospitality
industry. In my current role, as Vice President
Human Resources for First Hotels, I welcome
the opportunity to recruit CTH graduates in
the near future."

Minaaz studied the CTH Diploma
in Travel Agency Management and Advanced Diploma
in Tourism Management and then went on to gain
a first class honours degree in International
Hospitality and Tourism Management at Bournemouth
University. She commented: "I decided to study
with CTH because, besides being recognised worldwide
by employers, the modules offered specialised
in the specific areas which would be beneficial
for my future career as a tour operator."

"When I first arrived in
the UK in 1987, I was just 29 years of age.
The first week upon my arrival, I was taken
round London by my elder sister to many of the
colleges and universities there. She asked me
a very typical question; 'What would you like
to study?' As I had once had a little work experience
as a litigation clerk in a law firm, I responded
by saying vaguely 'Well... law I suppose'. Like
most young people, I did not know what I wanted
to do as a career but I knew I was really interested
in tourism and hospitality, (this was partly
because, when I was young, I ran away from home
many times, curious about life and places outside
my little village!). So off we went around London
scouting for a college that offered a good Hospitality
course. I settled on the CTH Diploma which gave
me the foundation for higher level studies at
degree level and, I am happy to say, I had almost
all distinctions for the modules, except computing!
My choice of career path that day in London
is something I have never regretted. I am glad
CTH is involved in hospitality and tourism education
in my country. CTH qualifications are ideal
for students looking for management training
for these industries and I am looking forward
to CTH's growth in Malaysia."

"I chose CTH because it is
recognised internationally, making it easier
for me to find jobs within the sector in any
country. I ended up doing the CTH Diploma and
Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management with Distinctions
and Credits for the modules. This course helped
me gain admission into Bournemouth University's
final year to do a top-up degree in International
Hospitality and Tourism Management and then
I got a scholarship to do a Masters of Science
in International Hospitality, Operations and
Events Management. I currently work for the
Strand Palace Hotel in London as Reservations
Supervisor and Trainer for the hotel. In the
long term I want to set up a training school
for students who want a career in the hospitality
industry in Ghana where tourism and hospitality
is just developing."

"I am Francesco, Italian
and I have a natural passion for the hotel industry.
Although I already had seven years experience
in the hotel industry across three different
countries, (Italy, Germany and United Kingdom)
I felt I needed to complete my profile academically
in order to develop a career at a management
level. I conducted a deep research and I discovered
that CTH was the most valuable organisation
since it delivers well structured professional
courses and it is internationally recognised
among the leading hotel companies. I enrolled
on the Diploma in Hotel Management programme
and after completing my first semester I got
a position at the five star deluxe Hotel "Langham".
This gave me the possibility to under-go a cross-training
programme across all the food and beverage outlets
since I am food and beverage orientated. After
the completion of the diploma level I was promoted
to supervisory level and I have since joined
a tailored management programme to become a
manager within the next couple of years. I believe
studying at CTH has been my most valuable experience
and it has been a clear sign to my company that
I am focused on a career within the hotel industry.
CTH has aided my career progression."

I have been interested in travel for a while and I wanted to learn more about it. I have travelled to many countries all over the world and I love travelling. These courses seemed the best way to get into the industry.
The Virgin Atlantic / GTMC courses have a particular reputation that I wanted to be part of. The teacher is great because she goes into detail and explanations are clear and understandable. The staff are friendly and helpful and cover all your needs and the classes are small which makes it more personal.
I'm going onto the VA 2 course next and then the Star Alliance / GTMC Galileo Professional course. I plan to work in Sidney International Airport as a ground hostes'.

I decided to study airfares and ticketing because I wanted to have some training and knowledge so that I could apply with confidence for jobs within the travel sector. I decided to study the Virgin Atlantic / GTMC course because it seemed informative and would look good on my CV. I chose this college because it was in a central location, it had a good reputation and it was a pleasant environment to learn in.
I feel confident that the course will benefit me and enable me to successfully search for jobs in the industry. Once I finish the course I will start applying for positions within the sector and hopefully within three years I may have my own company!

"I completed my CTH Diploma
in Hotel Management in Boston Business School
in October 2006. The Diploma has given me a
strong insight into the hospitality industry.
I have always aspired to work abroad after my
studies, and the On the Job Training programme
has provided me with this opportunity. I have
been placed for my 6 months On the Job Training
at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Singapore."

"We have been teaching the
CTH Diploma and Advanced Diploma programme here
in China for nearly four years. We find CTH
supportive and helpful in giving both guidance
and support. They are always open to suggestions
that may help to improve the programmes. Any
queries we have are responded to speedily. After
completion of the programme most students are
offered jobs in International 5 star hotels
such as Intercontinental, Shangri La and Banyan
Tree, many are on Management Trainee Programmes.
Some students elect to top-up their CTH qualification
to a BA at an overseas university. Currently
we have 25 past students overseas and all are
doing well in their continued studies. We can
highly recommend the CTH programmes to any educational
organisation that wants quality internationally
recognised courses that are both flexible and
relevant for today's hotel and tourism industries."

A centre's experience - Virgin Atlantic/GTMC Fares & Ticketing courses
"The current VA fares and Ticketing material goes from strength to strength!
The material is clear in layout and this encourages students from the start, as it is user-friendly.The examples once grasped by students are both well constructed and presented, allowing them to understand key concepts easily, and to gain confidence as they progress. Through a good understanding of basic principles each part builds well with the next giving positive re-enforcement and encouragement to the students. The reviews and practice exercises can then be attempted with confidence by the students, this of course means there are plenty of opportunities for positive feedback from lecturers.
With ample exercises, reviews and revision most students approach the final examination with a good deal of confidence and attain excellent results.
In my opinion there is no other product that matches it. Students actually enjoy working through the material under guidance and this has been borne out by their success. Since my time at the Queen Elizabeth College both levels of the VA qualifications have played an important part in students gaining employment and are highly regarded qualifications within the industry".
