Thames College – Sri Lanka, offering CTH (Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality, UK) gold standard professional qualifications in Hospitality and Tourism education, created another first by appointing seven brand ambassadors. The chosen ambassadors representing the Thames College brand are real customers who have experienced the brand and have confidence in recommending Thames College to other prospective customers interested in following diploma, advanced diploma and post graduate diploma programmes in both tourism and hospitality streams.
All of the brand ambassadors are professionals holding senior positions in the hospitality, travel, tourism and airline industries.
Addressing everyone at the brand ambassador launch ceremony, the CEO of Thames College, Sanju Dissanayake said, “our vision is to be the first choice for Hospitality and Tourism education in the SAARC region”. In this journey Thames College has major plans for 2014 and among them are to add value to the current product range with a view to delight customers and introduce a series of new products.
Now that the 30 year war is over, Sri Lanka’s tourism industry looks forward to the future with much confidence, where the targeted 2.5 million tourists are estimated to increase tourism earnings by over five times to US$2.75 billion by 2016.
“Therefore if an exciting career in the tourism and leisure industries is what you are looking for, the innovative programmes at Thames College will provide students with unique and highly marketable expertise and experience that will guarantee them top positions and placements in the tourism industry“.
