Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) is pleased to announce the progression agreement with Coventry University College. This agreement enables CTH Level 4, 5 and 6 graduates to transfer credits for Coventry University College’s BA (Hons) Strategic Tourism & Hospitality Management degree qualification. Eligible CTH graduates may apply to either study at Coventry University College’s campus in the UK or study via online from their home countries.
Bournemouth University is rated 2nd for Tourism and Hospitality by The Guardian, October 2005 and is voted 'joint best' for its Tourism programmes by Heads of Schools in September 2006 (The Sunday Times). It is placed 69th in the Times Top Universities 2007 League Table (June 2006). Holders of a CTH Advanced Diploma qualification have gained entry onto the final year of Bournemouth University's Hospitality and Tourism Degree programmes. Bournemouth University is pleased to review applications from CTH students who have achieved a credit profile and who have attained IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent, for progression onto their BA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management Top-Up Degree. Bournemouth's Top-Up course is designed specifically for students joining the final year of the degree and this course can also be studied at West London College.

Middlesex University teaching quality was recently rated as 'excellent' by the UK Quality Assurance Agency and research quality was rated as being of 'all-round national excellence' in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise. Middlesex ranked second in a new re-assessment of teaching quality in all English universities. CTH students can progress from the CTH Diplomas in Tourism Management or Travel Agency Management on to the 2nd year of the Middlesex University Dubai BA (Hons) Major in International Tourism Management with possible options in Business Studies, Marketing or Human Resource Management. Students completing the Advanced Diploma programmes in Tourism Management or Hotel Management can progress on to the final year of The Middlesex University Dubai BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management and Tourism or BA (Hons) or Hospitality Management.
The University College Birmingham accepts successful CTH graduates on to their second or final year BA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Business Development degree as appropriate. Students receive their degree from the University of Birmingham.
The 2008 Guardian University Guide ranks Tourism at University of Sunderland as the 6th best in the UK. The University was also ranked as 3rd best in terms of teaching satisfaction. CTH students who have passed the Advanced Diploma in Tourism or Hotel Management can progress on to study the final year of the BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Management awarded by the University of Sunderland, at a number of colleges in the UK.
London South Bank University, (LSBU), is focused on vocational qualifications which improve graduates' career prospects. As a result, LSBU is now ranked 6th in the UK for graduate starting salaries. Students can apply for entry onto the second or final year of the BA (Hons) Tourism and Hospitality Programme as appropriate. CTH and LSBU have a progression agreement that guarantees entry to CTH students onto the second or final year of the LSBU undergraduate Tourism and Hospitality programme. CTH Advanced Diploma graduates with two or more years of relevant work experience can apply to study the LSBU MSc in International Tourism and Hospitality Management. CTH students who would like to apply to study at LSBU should download the LSBU undergraduate (or postgraduate) application form from the LSBU website, complete it and clearly state at the top of the form that they are a CTH graduate. CTH has the following agreement with GCU; CTH Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality - successful completion of this provides eligibility to apply for direct entry to the third year of either BA/BA(Hons) International Tourism and Travel Enterprise OR BA/BA(Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise. CTH Advanced Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality - successful completion of this provides eligibility to apply for direct entry to fourth year of either BA(Hons) International Tourism and Travel Enterprise OR BA (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise. As we’re a Scottish institution, we need to adhere to the SCQF credit transfer guidelines. A candidate must have 2 years (240 credits) of equivalent study to enter 3rd year of a degree, and 360 credits to enter 4th year. This means that we expect students with the CTH Diploma and Advanced Diploma to also hold an A Level or equivalent qualification. If they don’t hold this then we may offer a lower point of entry (at present we don’t run our Tourism and Hospitality suite at 2nd year entry). Glasgow Caledonian University expects students to have achieved a prior year of study equivalent to A Level.
The University of Gloucestershire is a university primarily based in Gloucestershire, England, spread over four campuses, three in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester.The University of Gloucestershire signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CTH last year to approve entry with advanced standing for CTH students to our hospitality and tourism degree programmes.
RDI is the world's largest independent provider of UK university distance learning qualifications. Through RDI, qualified CTH graduates can apply to Sheffield Hallam University to study the final year of their BSc. (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management by distance learning.
CTH students can apply to gain entry and advanced entry at University of Plymouth’ School of Tourism and Hospitality. Student applications will be assessed on individual basis and awarded advanced entry where applicable. CTH is currently in discussions with the University to arrange a more formal articulation and will be updating the details once the arrangements are finalised.

Diploma in Travel Agency Management and Diploma in Tourism Management students can progress on to the University of Northampton HND Travel and Tourism course. Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management students can progress on to the final year of their BA (Hons) Travel and Tourism Management degree.
St Mary’s University College is proud to have the best-ranked Tourism department in London (2010 Guardian University Guide). The BA Tourism and BA Tourism Management programmes offer students the opportunity to gain experience of different tourism environments and operations through fieldwork both in the UK and abroad. The University of Salford's Centre for the Study of Gambling is the first of its kind in the UK. It teaches at undergraduate and post-graduate level and undertakes research in the area of gambling studies in partnership with industry. Students who have studied the Diploma in Hotel and Casino Management can go on to the second year of the BA in Gaming and Leisure at Salford University. Students will study modules like Gambling Ethics, Gaming Economics and Strategic Management of the Gaming Industry, along with more general management topics. Students will have the opportunity for internships organised by the university. If successful, students could stay on to specialise in a specific area at Masters level.
Students which complete the Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels are credited with five exemptions out of the total twelve modules for their BA in Business Administration. Students can generally manage six modules per academic year so a focussed student may be able to complete seven in a calendar year, thereby providing the student with a degree in three years. The University of Winchester was established in 1840, and it combines this heritage with innovative learning and teaching. CTH works in partnership with the University of Winchester to develop CTH’s Level 3 Diploma in International Business, enabling successful graduates to gain entry to Winchester’s degree programmes in Business.
Students who have successfully completed CTH’s Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management are eligible to gain entry to either MBA or MA in International Management top-up qualifications. In order to qualify for MBA top-up programme, students are expected to have at least two years of work experience. MBA top-up qualification requires CTH graduates’ to complete three modules (Financial Management, Research Methods and Dissertation) and MA in International Management top-up qualification requires CTH graduates’ to complete Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Research Methods and Dissertation. Students can start these qualifications in February and September each year. Edge Hill University has various approved study centres in the UK as well as internationally.
Students who have completed the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma at awarded by CTH are eligible to gain direct entry at MSc in Hospitality & Tourism Management (Dissertation) stage at University of Sunderland or one of their approved study centres around the world.
Students who have completed the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma at awarded by CTH are eligible to gain direct entry at MSc in International Hospitality & Tourism Management (Dissertation) stage at London South Bank University.
Students who have completed the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma at awarded by CTH are eligible to gain direct entry at either MA in Tourism (Dissertation) or MA in Hospitality (Dissertation) stage at University of West London.
Students who have completed the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma at awarded by CTH are eligible to gain direct entry at MA in International Sustainable Tourism Management (Advanced Entry) stage at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford or Cambridge.
Minaaz studied the CTH Diploma in Travel Agency Management and Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management and then went on to gain a first class honours degree in International Hospitality & Tourism Management from Bournemouth University.
