To achieve this aim, Baked Academy have become a CTH Approved Teaching Centre offering our CTH Level 2 Diploma in Patisserie and Confectionery Skills. As well as affiliating with us, Baked have built a team of qualified and experienced lecturers to teach students who wish to become self-employed by opening their own business or to gain employment at the best bakery and patisserie establishments in South Africa and across the world.

At Baked Academy, you are taught both the theoretical aspects of patisserie and baking while emphasising practical, industry-specific training in its unique commercial bakery. Classes typically consist of 6 to 9 students, thus ensuring you are nurtured through the programme and are giving essential guidance by each chef lecturer.

On-campus training kitchens are divided into two areas – a kitchen for training on domestic appliances and a commercial bakery area. The Academy understand it is essential to give students the confidence to perfect their craft before moving on to the more commercial aspects of cooking. It is essential for aspiring chefs to gain exposure to commercial kitchen environments and familiarise themselves with professional equipment; at Baked Academy, you will be taken through this process and much more.
