Held at the beautiful Rubens at the Palace Hotel, this year's CTH Advisory Board was full of hospitality talent ready to share their insight on the hospitality and tourism industry.

The CTH Advisory Board meets once a year and acts as a strategic advisory body to oversee academic activities and our Ofqual responsibilities. The main focus for this year's event was for all to discuss and contribute ideas for development of our Hospitality Skills and Management qualifications. By reviewing our offering, we ensure that our qualifications meet the needs of exactly which skills are needed right now by employers in hotels, restaurants, and tourist destinations.

The CTH Advisory Board 2024 was an extremely successful and inspiring event with various members expressing their satisfaction with the outcomes:

Ben Purton FIH:

Such a great session and glad I managed to get that early flight from Holland to join you all. Great work being done all round and love being involved on the advisory board.

Alistair Sandall FIH:

An excellent and productive day. Great initiatives and enthusiasm from across the hospitality spectrum: academia and practitioners.

Sam Coulstock FIH MIEP:

Great day and a huge opportunity to shape the future of hospitality qualifications globally.

Salvatore Fernandez FIH:

It was a great and very productive day, and everyone involved committed to our sector with many fresh ideas for encouraging young people to join our fantastic Hospitality industry.

We sincerely thank our members for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their thoughts and experience which will definitely make a positive mark on the important aspects of education for students in the UK and around the world.
