A call to the CTH community to aid victims and rebuild lives after Myanmar’s 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

We at CTH are deeply saddened by the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar on the 28th March 2025. The impact has been catastrophic, with regions such as Sagaing, Mandalay and Naypyidaw suffering the most severe damage. Lives have been lost, communities have been shattered and many families are now left without homes, access to food or vital medical care.

This tragedy hits close to home for many at our CTH HQ and our CTH Centres with connections to Myanmar. One of our valued team members, originally from Myanmar, shared a heartfelt message reminding us just how personal this devastation is:

This tragedy has deeply affected me and my community, and I would like to kindly ask for your support in the ongoing relief efforts. Whether through donations, raising awareness, or simply sharing a kind thought, every act of solidarity matters. If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small, it can make a real difference for those facing unimaginable hardship.

In a united act of solidarity, we are reaching out to our global network of CTH Teaching Centres, partners and friends to ask for your support. Whether it's through donations, raising awareness or simply offering your thoughts and prayers, every gesture matters.
