Worldchef Congress & Expo 2022 – Celebrating culinary innovation across the industry
Last month, Abu Dhabi welcomed chefs and culinary experts from around the world to share ideas and collaborate in the Worldchef Congress & Expo 2022.
Held between the 30th May - 2nd June, the Worldchef Congress & Expo 2022 is a biennial event for industry leaders and culinary innovators. Hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the aim of the event is to strengthen the bonds between thought leaders, industry bodies and culinary professionals across five continents.
During the expo, there were dedicated exhibitions for demonstrations and speakers. ExpoCulinaire was in attendance at the event, providing a platform for chefs and other professions to trade and share ideas.
Alongside the demonstrations and speakers, the Worldchefs Congress & Expo also encouraged chefs, cooks and bakers to showcase their skills by competing in the Emirates Salon Culinaire (ESC). The ESC is a mouth-watering event, where chefs compete in series of practical and display-based culinary competitions.
Notable participants were CTH Approved Teaching Centre, MasterChef Pakistan. The trip was a wonderful experience for the 11 culinary students who were selected; in addition, it was made much sweeter by winning 10 medals!
The students were awarded with 4 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and 3 merit medals - The awards were won in the practical cooking and baking display competitions.
Following the expo, Osama Ahmed, CEO of Masterclass Pakistan, emphasised that if Pakistani brands collaborate with Masterclass, it will help to generate more success and achieve great things throughout their country.
