IoH Passion4Hospitality: Inspiring the next generation of hospitality professionals

Hailed as IoH's largest, free UK hospitality event, Passion4Hospitality (P4H) did not disappoint. With over 700 attendees, the event was full of bright-eyed students, apprentices and graduates ready to learn and make connections.

Among the 50 employers at the event were a few familiar faces, including CTH Gold Employers - The Ritz London, Red Carnation Hotels, and The Landmark London, who engaged with attendees visiting their exhibition stands.

During the event, IoH incorporated various creative activities, including:

• Free pictures and headshots from a professional photographer.
• Career advice from well-known hotel brands.
• CV writing and interview practice workshops.
• Interactive presentations on the main stage, including a "battle of the sectors".

Also among the attendees was our Business Development Manager Tomi Popoola, who took to the main stage to discuss the benefits of professional development and the CTH (IoH) Hospitality Management programmes.

As there was a combination of students and professionals present, the event made for the perfect time to discuss the opportunities for professional development and career progression across the industry.

Following the event, Tomi shared his thoughts with us:

I had an amazing experience attending my very first Passion4Hospitality event. The people I met - from students to professionals were all eager to learn and share their knowledge, which made for great networking opportunities.

It was an excellent occasion to discuss the CTH (IoH) Management programmes, and to help inform students about the hospitality industry and the pathways available to job opportunities and career acceleration.

Well done to IoH and all involved.

Many boasted that this year's P4H event was the best one yet, including IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI, who said the event was “an incredible day of inspiration and learning, and the most remarkable and rewarding P4H we have ever held”. We look forward to seeing how IoH will top it next year!
