Professional Development programmes
Our industry partners tell us that as the Hospitality and Tourism sector recovers, the need for specific vocational qualifications, up-skilling of existing staff and the professional development of aspiring managers will be especially important.

‘Institute of Hospitality’ L3 and L4 Diplomas in Hospitality Management.
Perfect for aspiring Hotel and Hospitality managers already working in the industry (or recently unemployed), who require a broad-ranging industry qualification in order to progress up to Management level.

Level 2 Diploma in Cruise Hospitality Services.
Cruising is expected to be making a big comeback in 2021, as Covid testing and vaccinations become more widespread and cruise companies implement strict Covid safety measures. This Level 2 Diploma requires no prior experience and is the ideal qualification for learners wanting to apply to cruise-liners for the best Hospitality roles.
Culinary programmes
The desire for Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts qualifications continues to grow, especially with so many cooking programmes and celebrity chefs on TV in all our living rooms during lockdown. Experts predict that it won’t be too long before our restaurants are full again and employers will be wanting to employ talented, qualified staff.

Level 2 Certificate in Culinary Skills – Islamic regions (Halal).
Specifically developed for Islamic regions, with the removal of shellfish, pork and offal products. This is an extensive beginner level course, focusing on learners food preparation, cooking and finishing techniques.

Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene.
This is an important qualification for staff in food handling and preparation settings. It offers a way to understand, identify and remove food safety and hygiene risks in the workplace.

Level 2 Award in Healthier Cooking and Eating.
The release of this unique qualification is timely, against a backdrop of statistics and media focus on obesity and nutrition issues, it enables learners to experience a fresh approach to food and the benefits of healthier eating for themselves and their families.

Level 2 Diploma in Patisserie & Confectionary Skills.
Recently developed with The Manchester College (a CTH Approved Teaching Centre), this diploma provides a great opportunity for learners to gain the required knowledge to work in a professional kitchen; with a specific focus on the skills associated with the production of sweet items.
